Nowata High School Graduation Plan Announcement:
We plan to have a traditional graduation ceremony on June 12th at 7pm.
Our hope is that anyone wanting to attend will be able to do so.
Location:
Graduation will take place on the football field. In the event of inclement weather, our alternative site will be the High School Gym. We will make a decision by 5pm on June 12th if weather issues arise.
Safety/Social Distancing Expectations:
We will follow any CDC, Federal, State or Local guidelines that may be in place at the time regarding COVID-19.
We will be taking temperatures with a non-contact thermometer upon entrance. If you have a temperature of 100.4 degrees or above, you will be asked not to enter the ceremony. This is based on CDC temperature guidelines.
If we are required to limit the number of guests, that will be done based on government mandated guidelines. The number of guests allowed into the ceremony would be different for the football field as compared to the gym. We have customized tokens that have been 3D printed with our technology. Each student will be given the appropriate and equal amount of tokens in order to ensure their guests get into the ceremony. We will not release the number of tokens each student will receive unless it becomes obvious that we have to implement a policy limiting the number of guests. The number will be based solely on governmental guidelines.
Due to the fluidity of the COVID-19 situation, any and all plans or policies will be changed or adapted at any point to meet governmental guidelines.
