A huge congratulations to members of our High School Band as they had a successful day at OSSAA State Solo and Ensemble. Jana Lippert (Clarinet Solo) and our Nowata Peecussion Trio (Brookie Morgan, Shelby Webster and Emily Gray) received an Excellence rating on their events. Mason Greathouse (Barisax Solo) received a rating of Good. I am very proud of all the hard work these kiddos have put in to bettering themselves as musicians.
NPS is looking for an Activity Fund Clerk/Superintendent's Secretary for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a 12 month position with many responsibilities including but not limited to maintaining the Activity Fund, answer and transfer phone calls, answer secured entryway buzzer alert, make daily bank deposits, reconcile bank statements monthly, prepare documents for yearly financial audit, prepare game/event concession and gate start-up money, prepare fundraiser money, process all activity fund purchase orders, process incoming and outgoing mail, pay all activity fund bills, organization and filing of paperwork and responsibilities associated with being the superintendent’s secretary. Experience with school finance and working in an office setting is preferred. This person is the face and voice of the central office and the district at-large. Testing will begin for the middle school this week! Parents, please help students remember to get a good night's sleep and breakfast before testing!
Mrs. Scott’s Anatomy and Physiology classes are studying the cardiovascular system! Today they dissected sheep hearts and compared the size and structure to deer hearts. They located the main arteries and veins associated with the heart, and identified all of the heart’s chambers. It was a good day for science!
SPRING CONCERT
The Nowata Music Program proudly presents our Spring Concert at 7:00 pm this evening in the MS Gym. The concert will feature our Winter Guard, Beginning Band, Middle School Band, Middle School Choir, High School Choir and High School Band. Make sure to come a little early so you can view the Art Exhibition that is in the hallway between the Lobby and MS Gym. All of this tonight is free. We hope you will come out and join us!!!!
