Monday, May 13th will be a virtual day to allow staff and students the opportunity to attend the funeral services for Jason Prince, high school science teacher. Students will come home with instructions regarding Monday's school work. Thank you for your patience and understanding as our school district continues to navigate through this difficult time. Details concerning Mr. Prince's arrangements will be sent out soon.
Congratulations to Spencer Bullen making All State! East 2A Golf. Finished in 8th overall in the State Tournament where he faced a tough, wet course.
We invite you to come out and celebrate the accomplishments of our high school students with us at our NHS Awards Assembly scheduled for Tuesday, May 14th at 1:30pm in the new gym.
It is with heavy, grief stricken hearts that we inform you of the unexpected passing of one of our esteemed high school teachers, Jason Prince. Jason served the Nowata Public School District as a dedicated science teacher, math teacher, and robotics team coach for 10 years. We understand this news comes as a shock, and we extend our deepest sympathies to the Prince family. We recognize the profound impact Mr. Prince had on the lives of those around him, and we share in the grief. Jason has left an indelible mark on the lives of his students, his colleagues, and the entire school family. We will work closely with the school community to provide resources and support for those who may need assistance in coping with the loss. As of now, we are not aware of the final arrangements, but we will keep the school community informed as we receive more information about the services to honor and remember Mr. Prince.

Tonight, May 6th is our Beginning Band Informational and Rental Night. If your child is interested in Beginning Band for next school year (2024 - 2025), please plan on attending our meeting at 6:00 pm in the HS Band Room. Please PARK IN THE HS PARKING LOT in front of the new gym and ENTER THROUGH THE BAND ROOM DOOR. The door will be marked and is located next to the cement ping pong table and cornhole boards. The Nowata HS Choir will be performing this Sunday, May 5th, alongside the Nowata Community Choir at the Presbyterian Church in Nowata. The performance will start at 4:00 pm. We hope you will join us for this Great American Sing-A-Long.
