Mrs. Scott's Environmental Science class harvested their first crop of lettuce, basil and micro greens on Thursday, and celebrated with a salad and baked potato Thanksgiving dinner today! The salad was so fresh and delicious!

It's a great day in Ironmen Nation!!
I couldn't be more proud and appreciative of the kind, hardworking kitchen crew at our elementary school. They, along with Principal Monae Thompson, her entire staff, and many good hearted volunteers, hosted Thanksgiving lunch our kids and their family members. It did my old heart good to see the love and joy that flowed through our cafeteria and the smiles on so many faces. TS
Good morning, Nowata!!
It’s really hard to watch the news, read the paper, or scroll through social media without coming out of it feeling a sense of sadness, cynicism, or even anger sometimes. There seems to be so much meanness and hate in our world right now. In the big picture there’s probably not much I can do to change a lot of that. What I can control, however, are my own choices and attitude. Those are things that each of us can control to a large degree. Through our attitude and choices, we can always make someone else’s day a little better and a little brighter. You never know how far the ripple effect of just a little kindness will travel. Have a wonderful day, everyone. Be safe and be kind. TS.
