Congratulations to both the Nowata HS and MS Choir for each respectably earning an Excellent Rating at NEO Choir Festival today. I am super proud of these kids and the hard work they have put into our Choir.
The Nowata girls golf team (Addison Reese, Roslin Johnson, Addison Maggard, and Alexis Malone) braved the elements today to finish in 8th place. Alexis finished in 11th overall scoring a personal best in the process.
I would like to thank the Nowata Country Club for providing lunches for all the teams. Meat was provided by the Painted Horse and Connie Dye. Members of the club cooked and served the food for the teams. Also thanks to Bron Williams for making a donut run this morning.
A HUGE Congratulations to the Nowata HS Choir for their Superior Rating at the OKWU Choir Festival. The choir received straight one's on their stage performance. They then sang as a mass Choir with Dewey and the OKWU Choir after rehearsing three selections together for several hours today during the clinic portion of the festival. I am super proud of these kids.
Nowata boys got first place today at the Nowata Ironmen Golf Tournament. Maddox Bullen finished 2nd, Spencer Bullen finished 3rd, and Jace Thompson finished 6th over all.
Nowata Boys finished 2nd today as a team with 3 individuals finishing in the top 10.
Congrats to Maddox Bullen who finished 2nd, Jace Thompson who got 5th, and Spencer Bullen who received 6th. James Ewers and Nic Humphries rounded out our team which missed 1st by only 4 strokes.
Congratulations to the Nowata HS Band for receiving an Excellent Rating on Stage and a Superior Rating in Sight Reading at the District 9 OSSAA Band Festival Competition. I am so very proud of these talented musicians.

Seniors and Parents: We have Parent/Teacher Conferences tonight from 3:30 to 7:30. I will be here and free to work on scholarships. Bring your scholarship stuff and we will work on them. Most of the local ones are due Wednesday, March 9th. I have only received 3 applications so far. 🙂
Today was OSSAA Instrumental Solo Ensemble and members of the Nowata HS and MS Band came out and represented Nowata with great pride. I am so proud of all those who participated. Many of our band events are now headed to State competition in April.

8th graders went to the Junior Achievement Career Exploration Fair on March 2nd at the Tulsa Expo Center. They were able to explore several different careers with companies that created hands-on interactive exhibits.

GOOD NEWS for High school and middle school students-There will be student tickets available for the 8:00 game tonight. These tickets are free to students that arrive by 7:30 and sit in the student section. There are a limited number of tickets so tickets are first come, first serve.
