Due to a contract tracing COVID issue, Dewey can not play Junior High basketball tomorrow. So, all girls and boys games are cancelled for tomorrow night.

Elementary School Parents,
Due to positive cases of COVID 19, exposures, and high absences in the elementary, we are pivoting to virtual learning. The pivot will begin tomorrow on December 9th, and continue until January 5th. Your student’s teacher will contact you with assignments for your student through ClassDojo. If the teacher needs to send items to the student, arrangements with the teacher will be made.
The middle school and high school will continue with in-person learning at this point.
We are certainly sorry to do this and understand the hardship on families. It has been a hard decision to make and one that has not been made lightly. The safety of the children is our utmost concern.

Due to a COVID issue late in the day within the Dewey basketball program all of tonight’s games and Senior night activities are postponed. Everyone involved in making this decision regrets the late notice. Student and community safety is at the heart of these decisions.
If you are escorting a senior this evening please meet Mr. Williams in the old gym at 5:45pm. We have a simple format that will allow for us to wear masks while staging, yet allow individual families the option to wear masks while actually on the court for their introduction.
Senior night activities start at 6pm tomorrow night.
Just for clarification. If you have a voucher to get into the games at Caney Valley this evening, you will be expected to pay the entry fee upon arrival.
There is a boys only change in the Junior High games tonight. Due to COVID issues with Caney Valley there will be no 6th and 7th grade boys games. We will play an 8th grade game starting at 5pm and a 9th/JV game immediately after.
The JH girls games in Caney Valley are unchanged.
Middle School girls basketball players will be bringing home their 2 tickets for admission into the jh games at Caney Valley tomorrow. Please get your tickets from your student this evening. We have no extras in case they get lost.
If you have a senior participating in senior night please tell them to get their form back to Ms Wilson. By noon tomorrow we will finalize the written forms to be read Friday evening.
Caney Valley COVID Restrictions for all basketball games for games hosted AT CANEY VALLEY:
Masks will be worn at all times by spectators
No food or drinks in the facililty, no concessions will be sold
Each player/cheerleader will be given 2 tickets which they can give to whomever they want.
Only 300 non player, coach, administrator or worker will be admitted inot the facility
They will sell any remainng tickets at a first come first serve basis at the door. So, if 100 player ticket were given out than 200 will be sold at the door.
