Nowata High School is excited to be able to offer Driver's Education during the school day for the 24-25 school year. It will be offered both semesters as an elective class.  There is a limit on class size and availability. We will have a parent meeting for all sports 6-12 in the new gym on Thursday at 6:00 PM. That way we can go over new policies and get schedules out.

The Nowata Public School District is seeking a dedicated and community-minded individual to join our School Board. As a School Board Member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational policies and direction of our district. This is a volunteer position that requires a commitment to attend regular meetings, engage with the community, participate in committees, and meet yearly continuing education requirements through conferences, webinars, etc. The application period begins Monday, July 22, at 9:00am and runs through Wednesday, July 31, at 3:00pm. Applications must be completed in their entirety, including notarization. Applications can be picked up and submitted at the superintendent's office between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm. Alternatively, applications can also be sent and submitted via email by contacting Tim Simpson at tsimpson@npsok.org.

Dear Parents / Guardians, It is hard to believe that we are less than a month away from beginning our 2024-2025 school year. Our priority at Nowata Public Schools is to provide a safe, engaging, and supporting environment for our students to thrive academically and socially and in the process become the best version of themselves. We are implementing several changes for the upcoming school year designed to help us provide the best education possible for our students. We understand that change can be challenging, but progress is impossible without it. The middle school yearbooks have been delivered! You can pick them up between 9:30-12:00 tomorrow morning! If you did not purchase a yearbook, we have some extras for sale for 35 dollars. It is first come, first serve so if you did not buy a yearbook and would like one please come to the middle school office!

Mrs. Freeman and Ms. Hewitt are hosting a Yearbook Boot Camp on July 22-24 from 10-12 in Ms. Hewitt's classroom. During boot camp, we will discuss yearbook jobs, host workshops for the 2025 yearbook, and interview editor candidates! We are excited to get started! We will have more information for your students to bring home if they attend boot camp. If they are unable to attend but want to be in the yearbook, let us know, and we will get you more information.
