Today was the kickoff for our "VIP Lunch Lounge" at the middle school! Students are nominated and picked by teachers to enjoy having lunch in the lounge all week. Teachers are looking for students who are consistently showing good character in the classroom, the hallways, and lunch room. Along with the opportunity to eat lunch in the VIP Lunch Lounge, the students will enjoy a special treat at the end of the week. We are excited to share this opportunity with the students of NMS. #IronmenPride

We want to give a shoutout to a few of our other softball players that received all-conference honorable mention. Kaylee Bashford, Emma Couch, and Adyson Freeman!

7th Grade: Evelyn Campbell and AJ Sutton
8th Grade: Tynlee Hayes and Kingston Freeman

I’d like to share some numbers with you. The following statistics are from the high school, and our current high school enrollment is 189 students:
On October 4th of last year (2023), we had 29 students failing 64 classes. 17 of those 29 students were failing multiple classes.
On October 4th of this year (2024), we had 14 students failing 19 classes. 3 of those 14 students are failing multiple classes.
When comparing the numbers from this year to last year, the number of students failing one or more classes is down 51% (14 vs 29). There are 70% fewer classes being failed (19 vs 64), and the number of students failing multiple classes is down by 82% (3 vs 17).
I am just so proud of our students, our parents, our staff, and our building administration for every ounce of their hard work, determination, and resilience that have been on full display since day one. This type of transformative change does not occur without the cooperation and collaboration of everyone involved. Our work is far from over, and we intend to keep our foot on the gas pedal, but there is nothing wrong with taking a moment to appreciate and recognize the hard work that is taking place in our high school classrooms and at home. Have a great day, everyone!

Congratulations to the Marching Ironmen for a great day and job well done at the Glenpool Blue and Gray Classic Marching Competiton. The Ironmen received 3rd place in class 3A Blue in prelims, they placed in the top 12 and advanced to the finals part of competition where they received 10th place overall with a score of 66.
The Marching Ironmen compete this up coming Tuesday October 8th at the Coffeyville Dalton Defender Days competition. They perform at 9:30 am. We hope to see you there.
I am so proud of these kids!!!!!
