Nowata was represented well today at the Varsity State Powerlifting Meet! 4 of the strongest athletes in the state competed at a high level and never disappointed!

The Ironmen Golf team finished 8th place today at the Dewey Bulldogger Invitational at Adams GC. Spencer Bullen placed 4th overall and Jackson Hurd broke into the top ten and finished 8th!! Kaleb Bashford, Kason Summers, and Brett Malone finished out the team today.
The Ironmen Varsity Powerlifting Team are State Bound! We had 4 athletes qualify for state next week and all lifters hit personal bests at regionals this past Friday!
State qualifiers are Bear Savala, Peyton Trotter, Jerome Jackson, and Maliki Ornder!

Congratulations to the Nowata MS and HS Choir for a job well done at the NEO Choir festival. The MS Choir received an Excellent Rating with a 1-2-2 and the HS Choir received a Superior Rating receiving straight 1's from both judges. Both ensembles represented Nowata with great pride and professionalism. I am super proud of these kiddos. A huge thank you to our accompanist Mrs. Marilyn Custer.

Congratulations to the Nowata HS Band on their Superior Rating at OSSAA Band Festival. The band is headed to State Competition and in the running for the prestigious Sweepstakes Award. The band received a Superior on Stage with a 1-1-2 and a Superior in Sight Reading. I am super proud of all these kiddos.

Nowata Middle School students recently took a trip to attend the Junior Achievement Career Exploration Fair. Mrs. Smith took the 8th grade students to Tulsa to the fair grounds and spent the day learning about careers directly from industry representatives. The students enjoyed the hands-on exhibits while learning about and exploring different careers. The 8th graders finished the trip with a lunch at Cici's Pizza!
Congrats to Spencer Bullen! Placed 2nd yesterday at the Sperry Tournament. Our team finished 10th out of 18. We were the best 2a team in the field.
Congratulations to memebers of the Nowata Band Program on a very Successful day at competition. Today we had 20 events participate at OSSAA Solo and Ensemble and our students did FANTASTIC!!!! 7 events will advance to staye competiton in April. We had 14 Superior Ratings, 4 Excellence Ratings and 1 Good Rating. I am very peoud of these kids and all their hard work!!!! Congratulations to all and thank you Mrs. Marilyn Custer for accompanying and working with all these kids.
