Congratulations to the Marching Ironmen for a GREAT start to their competitive season. The Marching Ironmen took 1st place in class 2A Blue at Oologah's Stallion Battalion. Not only is this a great start but a huge personal accomplishment. The Nowata HS Marching Band has attended this competition on and off over the past 12 years and it is the first time they have received 1st Place for their class. I am so super proud of these kids and all their hard work. Let's Go Marching Ironmen. #ironmenexcellence

Yearbook Sale Information
We want to say thank you to Natalie Wood and Taylor Edwards for coming to speak to our Seniors about career choices this morning.
Letter jacket orders will begin at 8 am in the morning. We will start with those students leaving for activities. Remember, there is a $100 deposit required to order. Information will be available if you need to order at a later time as well.
Softball update: Thanks to the hard work of those fixing the water issues, we will be playing both junior high and high school softball games in Nowata tonight. The Junior high game starts at 6 with the varsity to follow.
Softball update: We do plan to play tonight. We will make a decision approximately 4pm regarding the location of the games. We have moved the start time to 6 pm. We will post soon after 4pm a final decision.
No junior high football this evening.
Nowata Public Schools will be having early release today because of water leak and lack of water for the rest of the day. Hoping to run busses around 12:15 pm. If you have any questions please call you Childs principal.
The OSSAA will be offering esports stargint this fall. Nowata will have it's first esports team competing in the trail season starting in October. We will have our initial team meeting in Mr. Rohde's room Tuesday, 9/21/21 during lunch. Any High School student wanting to learn more, please grab lunch and head to Mr. Rohde's room ASAP.

Mrs. Franke’s Leadership Class saw a need for recreational equipment to be used on the practice field after middle schoolers finished lunch. The students used project based learning to research cost of items and develop a presentation to the Nowata Community Foundation. We are excited to receive notification today that our grant was approved. Students will soon enjoy playing flag football, soccer, basketball and four square, as well as drawing with sidewalk chalk. Six benches will be added to the track area for students to enjoy. Thank you to the Nowata Community Foundation for supporting our school!--

Anyone interested in joining After School Competitive Robotics that hasn't been attending the practices, there's still time! We have practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30 just come and check it out!
Our home softball game for today will start at 4:00. We have moved the time up due to an umpire shortage.
